I want to adopt a particular shelter dog, but I'm not sure how my parent's dogs will accept her.?
I recently went to a shelter, just to browse, and fell in love with this little 1 year old ChiPin. It was ABSOLUTELY love at first sight. I would really like to adopt her, but I am not moving into my new apartment for another 2 months, and currently reside at my parent's house. They said they would be fine with her, except for 2 problems. They own two dogs already, and while I love them both to death, one of them is the "Alpha Female" and a hefty Australian Shepherd and a little bit of a bully to our much larger male Belgian Tervuren. I'm not exactly sure how she would react to a new female dog. The one I am looking at seems pive. Any ideas on how to integrate a new smaller dog into the household for a just couple of months? I'd wait, but she's a shelter dog and I'm not sure how long she'll be there. Usually i can just accept the fact that i have to wait, but I just can't get this sweet baby girl off of my mind
