My landlords a real shady guy, can we move out without a months notice?

my landlord is pretty shady none of the other tenants like him, our place was infested with bed bugs when we came here and when we complained he did a half a*s job in exterminating, they soon came back (hence the reason for moving) we found out that this place is infested with rats, bedbugs, roaches, its really disgusting. not only that, this place leaks through the floor when it rains creating this moldy smell and ruined my bookshelf. the stove doesn't work and when we asked him to fix it before thanksgiving he didn't bother, so we couldn't even have thanksgiving dinner, its still not fixed and there's only one element working. we recently got a call back for an apt for nov 1st, so we really want to move out without our months notice, we are going to clean to place (even though when we got here it was a dump) and were letting him keep our damage deposit. even with all this im scared that he might try to scam us out money for not giving a months notice, because were literally going to leave by Monday without his knowledge, can he use anything against us still? we aren't doing anything illegal.
