Do you know of any good home design/architectural software?

It depends on your skill level. You can do about anything in every 3d graphic program. Google Sketch is free, Blender is either free or very cheap I don't remember. The best one for me is 3ds max but that one is expensive. You might also wanna try simple vector drawing in Adobe Illustrator at first but once again it's pricey.
