Is the landlord responsible for water damages in my my store if it was caused by a faulty gutter?

I own my own business & lease space we a had major snow storm & water got in and ruined my rugs it was cause by the gutter freezing up and it was missing a weather shield. water traveled down the wall & up through the floor its been two days and water just stop coming in it smells horrible i know there is going to be mildew. are they responsible
